Running is great for the body, while also being not so great for the body. You get stronger, leaner, and fit but can also end up with chapped lips, sunburns, sore muscles, and blistered feet. Anyone who loves to run knows the latter are no reason to give up on your sport. However, it is great to note there are products out there to combat these not so pleasant “side effects”.
The hubs and I live as organically as possible. We prefer organic foods and try to use organic cleaners. However, it is not until just recently that I began to try organic beauty/body products as well. When I was contacted by the lovely owner of Sweet P’s Luxury Organic Skin Care I was more than thrilled to review her organic body products. (spoiler alert: They are awesome!!)
Sweet P’s luxury Organic Skin Care offers a huge variety of skin care products, face and sun protection, home goods, organic baby items, and even custom fragrances. There is a ton of variety, and the best part is Sweet P’s products are organic.
I tried out the peach lip balm (with SPF), lavender foot cream, and muscle balm. I can truly say I am in LOVE with these products (especially the foot cream) and will be ordering tons more in the future.
The foot cream is incredibly thick and smells fantastic. I use it nightly and have been able to tell a drastic difference in the level of dryness in my heels, the healing of the skin from blisters, and the overall condition of my feet. And did I mention how awesome this stuff smells?!?!
The muscle balm was a true gem during my training for the Wine and Dine ½ Marathon. I loved the effects of Icy Hot but often was deterred by the strong smell and the fact it made my eyes burn. The Sweet P muscle balm soothes sore muscles with all natural ingredients.
In terms of the shea lip balm, I had a total epiphany. If I eat organic, wouldn’t it make sense to also use organic products on my lips? Um yes! Besides being natural and having a SPF this lip balm tastes nice (yummy peach) and fits easily into an armpocket/jacket/small bag while running.
